How my better climate works
In relation to it´s contribution renewable energies are undervalued. Every MWh of wind and solar energy helps to save 0.5 t of CO2. My better climate provides a solution to value this contribution through a novel micro-offsetting service. In contrast to existing offsetting solutions my better climate opens the market to decentralized energy producers, provides more transparency and is built on real projects at your doorstep.

Renewable energy farmers are awarded with wind coins

Energy producers now get an additional reward on top of their production. For every MWh they produce wind farmers get a wind coin (on top of their existing revenues), which can be sold to my better climate for a fixed price.
My better climate buys the wind coins to issue a CO2 certificate

We change wind coins in climate talents (every wind coin can be changed once) to issue the my better climate certificate to retail businesses and their customers to offset their services. In such, retail businesses like car rentals and many other can offset their services with real, geographically close projects.

“This service is great. I now get information of where and when exactly my offsetting has been realized. For instance, I was renting a car at the airport in Dusseldorf to drive to Rhede and back. My better climate has been offered to me by the car rental and I could offset the CO2 for my ride to Rhede and back. I saw on my invoice that the energy that has been produced on April, 4 in 2017 of a windfarm in our neighbourhood was used to compensate the required amount of CO2. This is fascinating, I look differently at this windfarm now.”
